SPINEL

Abouchar’s company started working with Spinels in the early 90’s when the branch had a very limited exposure to it. They had notably the chance to be among the firsts to work with the Spinels from Mahenge in Tanzania when the discovery of larger crystal occurred in 2007.

In 2026, one of the most important spinels in Abouchar’s collection was selected by the Smithsonian Institution and joined its world renowned collection of minerals and gemstones.
